Contagion

Hyper-realistic dead posable monkeys with hand punched fur detail work. The monkeys were created for a critical research lab scene. Their lifeless forms were laid in cages next to cages containing live monkeys--a visual representation of the film's serious subject matter.

We developed a “truck hit” body that was seen early on in the film. This body was constructed with a locked off, breakaway armature that allowed it to be posed and repositioned to precisely match the actor’s stopping point. It could also break away and move naturally upon impact of the vehicle.
