Hero hot-melt vinyl cake with spring-load core. The initial artistic direction of this cake was a gelatinous, translucent alien-eques cake that needed inherent movement – a wiggling and moving aesthetic. Due to artistic changes, the cake eventually became a futuristic moving alien cake finished with a frosted, decorative icing. We also made hero severed fish heads for the prop department. These silicone heads had translucent skin creating a hyper-realistic fish aesthetic.
